Club Membership

Club Membership is open to all, whether you own or breed pedigree or non pedigree cats, and whether you live in Scotland or elsewhere.

Benefits of becoming a member of the Scottish Cat Club:

  • A dedicated and knowledgeable Committee, with some 250 years experience of
    cat care between us
  • Welfare co-ordination, helping cats that have fallen on hard times
  • Advance copies of the show schedule, for members who have provided us with
    their e-mail addresses
  • Reduced entry fees to enter our annual Cat Show
  • Over 100 trophies, awarded at our AGM each year from results at our show
  • Special classes and rosettes for Club members at a range of other shows

And, of course, this website where you will find:

  • A celebration of Club members' cats winning Imperial titles, Supreme show winners, and winners at our own show
  • Details of breeders, stud cats and expected and available kittens with photographs (all available to Club members for a very reasonable £5 per year)
  • Details of Club officials, forthcoming events and other information. 

Our membership year runs from 1 October to 30 September each year.  We have several categories of membership: 
Single Membership
 Open to individual cat lovers
Annual subscription -  £5.00 		Joint Membership
For two people at the same address
Annual subscription -   £7.00
Junior/Senior Membership
Open to those aged under 16 or over 60 on October 1st
Annual subscription - £2.00		 Lifetime Membership
A single fee for lifetime membership, available after three years’ continuous membership
(A one-off joining fee of £1.00 is applied to all new members)
